Terms and conditions of car rental

1. Upon receipt of the car the lesson checked it mechanically, test drove it, and found that it was in excellent condition on commencement of the lease.

2. The lessor is obliged to pay all costs for the operation of the leased car, whether it is the purchase of petrol, the attendance of the indicating instruments on the dashboard and the normal function of the car.

3. The lessor is obliged to pay the fee for the entire period, regardless if the car was in use or not. Implied prolongation of lease is possible only by contacting the rental station within 48 hours before the expiration time to obtain permission for the additional rental period, which can be arranged verbally or written. Otherwise, the lessor is obliged to pay the daily rental fee with an additional 50% for every day after the expiry date as a penalty fee.

4. The lessor with his signature of his witness received in his possession for use the mentioned rental car, and is responsible from herein after for ever damage occurring to the car and to the passengers or things being transported. From the effective date of lease till the date the lessor return the car to the lender, he is considered owner of the car. He must use his name during this period and must obey to all laws and police declarations and is held fully responsible for any laws that are infringed upon in Greece. The lessor agrees to pay all tickets and court expenses relating to illegal parking tickets or other offenses of the Traffic Codes.

5. The car has coverage of a third party liability rental insurance.

6. Only the person who signed this Rental Agreement is allowed to drive the car, which is prohibited to be used:

a) for leasing purposes,
b) for towing or pushing another vehicle,
c) for transporting passengers over the permitted amount,
d) on damaged road,
e) under influence of alcohol and other substances impairing to consciousness or ability to react,
f) out of Milos without the advance authorization of the Rental Station.

7. In case of any accident or other incident (fire, theft, etc.) the lessor has to contact immediately the police and the Rental Station.

8. In case of loss or damage of the car the lessor has to pay to the Rental Station the amount of all resulting losses and expenses. He agrees that in case of damage, he will pay the towing fee, and he is obliged to pay also the rental fee of the whole period which is required repairing the car.

9. Luggage insurance is not available. The lessor is responsible for any lost damage of property of the passengers.

10. The lessor and the passengers of the rented car are not covered by insurance.

11. Damages caused at the lower part of the car and the tires or wheels have to be paid by the lessor.

12. The lessor with his signature declares that he is financially able to cover the caused damages of the car if the given deposit does not cover the expire of damage.

13. In case of damage a valuation is acceptable only from the dealer of the car or from the garages cooperating with the lender.

14. In case of disagreement between lender and lessor, the Greek courts will be responsible.

For cancellations less than 20 days from the expected time of arrival there is no refund.
